care guide
Thank you for booking with us. A little preparation goes a long way — here's everything you need to know before and after your appointment.
Before your appointment
Wait after prior hair removal
Allow at least 3 weeks after waxing, threading, tweezing, or epilating before your appointment. The laser needs the follicle intact to work — plucking removes the target.
Avoid sun, retinol, and chemical peels
Stay out of prolonged sun exposure for 3 weeks before treatment and stop using retinoids or chemical exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs, peels) over the same period. Sensitized or tanned skin is more prone to irritation.
Skip makeup on the day
Come to your appointment with the treatment area clean and free of makeup, lotion, deodorant, and perfume. Products on the skin can interfere with the treatment and increase irritation.
Shave beforehand
Shave the area the day before or the morning of your appointment, leaving a few small unshaved spots so we can see the hair colour and confirm the setting is right for your skin. Prefer not to? We offer an in-studio dry shave.
After your appointment
Wait before applying products
Hold off on skincare products, lotion, makeup, and deodorant on the treated area for at least 24 hours. The skin needs time to settle before products are introduced.
Avoid heat for 24–48 hours
Skip hot showers, the gym, saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for 24–48 hours. Heat increases circulation and can intensify any post-treatment sensitivity.
Protect the area from the sun
Keep the treated area out of direct sunlight for at least 48 hours after your session. If you'll be outside, apply SPF 30 or higher to the area.
Don't exfoliate or pick
Avoid scrubs, exfoliating tools, and any temptation to pick or scratch the treated area while it heals. Let any redness or mild swelling resolve on its own — it typically clears within a few hours.
